La Perouse Bed & Breakfast 
La Perouse Bed & Breakfast is the result of my 45 year dream to own and manage a B & B. Opened in 2001, in Canberra, I entered the world of tourism as its sole owner, manager, host and tourist guide. Despite its short life, La Perouse Bed & Breakfast won awards in the 'Hosted Accommodation' category in the 2002 and 2003 Canberra & Capital Region Tourism Awards. La Perouse Bed & Breakfast has a longer history. Built in the early 1920's, it is one of Canberra's grand, old, two storey residences. Guests are hosted in this lovingly restored and redecorated home, and can choose from a King, Queen or Twin bedroom. Guests admire its Edwardian flair, charm and graciousness, and share the entire residence with two sweet little 'toy' poodles, Sarah and Charlotte.
La Perouse guests can wander and relax in the Italian inspired rear walled gardens which feature a splendid fourteen columned loggia, leading to a 3-tiered fountain and they can lazily swim in the saltwater pool, bordered with 'sea daisies'. Throughout all of Canberra's distinct four seasons, guests can enjoy the tranquillity and romance of the secluded courtyard nooks, planted with seasonal pansies/petunias, and surrounded by dozens of softly lit carriage lights. 
Complimentary personalised tourism itineraries and tour guide services are offered to match guests' needs and expectations. The nation's embassies and national tourism icons are only a few minutes drive for guests at La Perouse. Just a two block stroll through a leafy, heritage listed precinct and guests are in the heart of Manuka Village. It is noted for its boutique shops, bustling nightlife, and forty restaurants and sidewalk cafes that offer international culinary delights. Walking with my guests to their pre-booked restaurant, they express surprise, and are impressed, with the vitality and cosmopolitan atmosphere of their surroundings.
