National Parks

Kosciuszko National Park provides year round opportunities to experience this amazing and unique part of Australia. It is widely renowned for its unique alpine environment, winter sports, camping, hiking, wilderness adventures and spectacular views and vistas, not to mention the unique wildlife including a number of threatened species which it harbors. A very popular walk is to the top of Mount Kosciuszko, the highest point in Australia.

The South East Forest National Park surrounds the Bombala township. The Park offers visitors a great opportunity to experience the grandeur of tall hardwood forests and the relaxation that only a night camping out under the magnificent starry, southern skies can give you. Well marked walking trails offer a number of options and camping areas are easily accessed.

The Errinundra National Park is an hour from Delegate and includes a number of tracks and trails including the cool temperate Errinundra Rainforest walk with flora from our prehistoric past. Giant tree ferns, native waratahs and towering eucalypts are home to a myriad of birds and small mammals.

A feature of the Wadbilliga National Park is the Cascades Walking track and viewing platform lets you watch the Tuross River tumbling over the giant boulders and into a tranquil swimming hole. Good gravel road access, as well as picnic facilities, making it a perfect spot for a day trip getaway.
